Re: Carb Help??

Lucky 1
Need a photo. But it is just a linkage screw loose, or a cable broken,
something simple and visual inspection will reveal the problem.

You will probably need to take them back off and inspect the carbs
completely for other things as well.

IF one throttle slide does not come up it is the same kind of problem.
Same visual check for a screw missing or something disconnected.
Which year of carbs are we talking about?

Are your carbs the ones with a fork lifting each slide or a cable going into the top of each one? I think Lucky is on the right track. If the slide ain't lifting something must be disconnected. If yours are the fork type it should be pretty easy to pull the rubber dust boot back and see if everything is still connected,if not sounds like a cable may have come disconnected. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find please.I'm trying to learn here!

yep fork lifts them, I'm going to check after work.  One more thing guys this engine has not been started in a long time it has oil and I have an idea of all the things to check but I could use a decent check list from some of you seasoned vets . Thanks
