Carb Sync.

Just did my carbs today....76 cb 750 k6. Man were they out of whack. no.1 didn't even register. No. 4 was barely reading at all. Its a new bike now!!!!!!!  Starts so much easier, and idles like a sowing machine. No more back firing while d-accelerating either. The power is unbelievable!

Very cool. I think I'll get into mine next Sunday. Meanwhile, check this piece out. By the way, what did you use to clean the carbs?

Ok Snake here it is..........syncing your carbs is adjusting them to pull their weight equally at the same time. They all need to be working together for your bike to run correctly. You sync them by using a device that connects rubber tubes to each carb and shows the air its pulling with a scale that looks like a thermometer . If you have two cyl...then you will use two scales....three, four and so on. Hook up rubber hoses to carbs and start bike up. Get the bike to idle best you can and look at meter. Each carb will show air flow by a fluid inside a tube with scales. As you adj your carb the fluid will either rise or fall. You will need a manual to tell you what the flow should read. Some newer bikes will have one carb that you can't sync. You sync all other carbs to this one (set by factory). If you buy a Manuel it will give you the steps on how to do this. Hope this helps. You can do it yourself....its not difficult.
