Carpy Mufflers

welovedon
Has anyone used one of Carpy's muffler "Scorcher?"  I wanted to know what it sounded like and if any retuning was needed if I bolted it on.

BTW, I'm bolting it onto a stock 78 CB750F with a stock 4-1 exhaust system.

Thanks.

Never used one, but am sure, you would need to re-jet.

The video is great, but I think that is a video of en entire exhaust system.  Im only talking about the muffler.  Or is the muffler responsible for the sound of a bike?

I like what i heard one person wrote Honda put all there knowledge into these bikes and there still around
now you wont to change itGREAT we wont to make them are own
but we should also wont them to last and be dependable.

Sure and yes lots of restriction started in 70s , ?
Remember and learn the basics to keep your bike on the road,
If your trying to RUN before you can walk ,then ?

Any changes to breathing in or breathing out, all mixes with gas n pressure you can't breath in  clear un restricted air and then try blowing it out a straw, changes thing in carb ,ya have to have like 80% air and other gas something like that and all that comes and job or the carb,
and vise aa / ver saa
lets have some fun with these what I like doing >>>Piute<<<

I agree with Piute.Anything you do to improve the breathing of the motor will cause ,to some degree, carb re-jetting. To  what degree is anybodys guess.Might be a little or it might be a lot.But chances are you will have to adjust your carbs with a new free flowing muffler.

As far as sound goes.A pipe is just a pipe. You can bend them around, use different wall thickness, different diameters, and that will all have some effect on the sound produced.but the muffler will always be the ultimate deciding factor of what a particular exhaust system will sound like.

I agree, Honda knows what they are doing, it just that I want my bike to be a little louder.  The 78 Cb750 runs pretty quiet; I want the motorist to know that there is something near by that's loud.  Trying to be seen and heard.

I'll pop it on and see what happens.

Thanks!
