Cb750 still won't start (video attached)

Bigwig
I cleaned out the carbs yet again and still no luck. It gets close to starting much more consistently now though. I have attached a video showing my failed attempts to start her. It seems like it gets much closer to starting when it's not choked for some reason ?? Spark is good, plugs are smelling like fuel and the compression seems to be good, though I haven't ran a compression check, just the thumb over the hole. My only other guess is timing, but I thought I would let y'all take a listen and look and give me some feedback based on your experience. Thanks again everyone!

The bike is a 1980 cb750 custom dohc

Just too hard to watch that video of you grinding on that poor starter with a battery that is almost dead.

If you keep it up... you will be replacing a fried starter next.

No that's not an ignition timing problem. You just need to pump more gas into the engine, or spray a lot of starting fluid into it.

NOT!!!!!!!!
I know that is what you want to hear, but you have an IGNITION/TIMING PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha thanks TOOLS! I appreciate the non-sugarcoated answer. I checked the static timing, but how would I go about checking the dynamic timing if the bike won't start. I apologize for the stupid questions, but checking and setting timing on engines isn't something I've had much of a chance to do (I guess that shows my age). To attempt to bypass the ingnition system, I tried to pull/push start the bike. It "seemed" like it was running as long as it kept rolling and I applied throttle, as soon as I came to a stop it would chug back down to being dead. I was using a pretty crappy battery so that may have had some effect. I'm going to get a good battery this week though. All thoughts and comments are much appreciated!

The battery plays a big roll in how these bikes run. The charging systems need to have 12 volts to energize the magnets in the stator before they will charge, and the CDI ignition needs a lot of juice. I would start with a good battery, then make sure that the two sparkplug wires on the left coil go to cyl #1-4. Then the wires on the right coil go to cyl #2-3. After that check that the wires to the coils from the CDI are correct. Also check to make sure each plug is firing.
