Its been quite a while since I last posted. Been pretty busy with life, my son is over 1 now and is charging around, getting into everything. My 5 year old daughter is involved in lots of events, so that eats my time as well. Toss looking for a house and trying to maintain a married life and time gets scarce.
However, I have had some time with the bike, mostly riding, and a little bit of wrenching. She is running fairly strong, with no notable issues to deal with. I look forward to the winter (and hopefully a house with a shop) to dig into her a little more in depth, but she is riding good enough that I will ride out the summer (and fall) with how she is.
I have been taking your advice Sgt, and been using Seafoam regularly.  I cant wait to see what its going to do to my oil when I change it again.

This week has been fun, as I got to doing some things I wanted to for some time. One was a fender chop, and replacement of the stock brake light.

Another fun little task was painting my side emblems.

In my opinion, she looks a bit more sporty now, without losing too much of her "stock" appearance.

Hope everyones summer has been going well. I keep up on all the threads, just lurkin' about, but haven't had much time for posting. I'm sure you will here more from me when the weather starts to sour, and we spend more time indoors. Untill then, Cheers!

Static timing is fine.
No need for the timing light as long as the advancer
is not frozen up. But if it was you would already know it.

If it has points, get a dwell meter instead. Only about $30.00

Hey everyone. Been a long time again. But things have been good.  I bought a house just a little over a month ago. Sooo excited about it too! Its nicer than I thought i would own.
The bike has been running great all summer.  One  of the things i did accomplish was checking the brakes

And the front caliper..

The back brake was in great shape.  The front was very worn, so i replaced it.  The caliper was pretty tight, so i cleaned it, and worked the pistons untill the action was nice and smooth again. Bleed and replaced the fluids as well.

I just recently put clubman bars on her. They are lots of fun, and surprisingly more comfortable than I thought. Even with out rearsets.

Unfortunately, the reason I put them on its to sell it.  I have the opportunity to buy a reliable car for cheap.  I have to sell her to fund the car. I took off the fender for fun to snap some pics.

Who knows though.  Maybe i can finish mouse in time to keep Ceru.
Winter is  here. Im sure I'll be playing a bit more now.
Cheers!
