Hey Everyone,
I'm really new to this Forum so forgive me if I sound really naive.
I have an '81 750K that i just replaced the handlebars on. The bike was running perfectly before I changed them, but the moment I tried to start it up after the change, I had zero power. No control lights, no running lights, no click in the starter solenoid. After checking the fuses I found that my Main Fuse in the Starter Solenoid was fried. I've ordered a new fuse (as my back up was 30 years old and crumbled in my hand), but my main question is: Is there a ground for the controls that I most likely overlooked when I changed the handlebars? My new bars are chrome steel same as the stock, but I worry that theres a ground I dont know about. Also it's possible that I may have reversed the starter switch wires running from the starter button on the right grip when I re-installed. Would this cause the main fuse to blow? And if so should I expect more damage?
I've been referencing this site for months, but this is my first post. Any info anyone can do to help a newbie out would be great!
Thanks!
