That is very cool. But the two piston front caliper and
new style controls just stick out like a sore thumb.Still way cooler than anything else in the showrooms today,IMO

I like the "caution zone" from 55-80.

I wonder what they want for them. It's a step up from my Chinese "Hondoid" 200CC Enduro. I got it in 2007 of ebay, new, for $700. That included shipping. Fun little bike.

That price is for a brand new bike, not a 30+ year old classic.
To be honest, that review got my blood flowing to my brain! That is a s-h-a-r-p bike! (Beauty is in the eye of this beholder...)
It really has some nice features. Reaching 75 MPH, on only 12.5 hp? Wow! I am impressed. And 118 MPG?!?!? That could be a whole lot of fun. And I love the styling. Wow. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

When I was searching for info on the Wolf 150 (which I really like by the way) I cam across the Cleveland CycleWerks Misfit. It looks pretty cool too. It's designed in Cleveland and built in China. Also under $3K. Check the site - http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/. They got some nice designs all built around the same engine.
The Ace is pretty sweet too. Looks to me like a Yamaha SR 500

I think that same guy in KC that's selling the Wolf has them. I've seen him advertise on Craig's list before. Most of the ones I see on the net now days are upwards of $1400 now. Here's an example http://www.saferwholesale.com/200cc-Enduro-Dirt-Bike-Street-Legal-p/db_200c.htm.

$700.00 I would buy one right now, but, for $1400.00 I will have to see one. Is it big enough, for a 250 pound man to ride? It says it is a mini enduro.

Mine wishes I only weighed 250 ! It scoots along pretty good but tops out around 60. It had a 56 tooth rear sprocket on it when I got it. I dropped it down to a 40. That, along with the oversize tires, makes 5th gear just about useless for anything but downhill. In fact it goes faster in 4th than it does in 5th most of the time. I need to find something in the 44 to 46 range. My son in law says it'll do 75 easy with him on it. He weighs a buck fifty soaking wet though.
The rear shock bottoms out if I'm not careful in the rough stuff. That wouldn't be a big problem but with rear tire contacts the inner fender and exhaust when it bottoms, that didn't happen with the stock tire. I've already replaced the inner fender once. I'll drop a tire size when this one wears out. I think it's a 110/100 now.
Overall quality is fair to poor. I wouldn't take it off any jumps, some of the welds are questionable at best. The rear rack mounts have already cracked and I don't think I've ever used it. The engine is tight and runs great. I upped the main jet size and raised the needle to make it a little more rich, they are very lean from the factory. I think the hot setup is to put one of these engines, which can be had for under $400 brand new, in a clapped out Honda XR. It's cheaper than rebuilding the XR's engine and with the Honda (even an old one) you get a better chassis.
I don't even think they import these anymore. The EPA revised, or started to enforce, their rules on certification. The Chinese bikes are made by many different manufacturers but the EPA certificate is only supposed to be used by one company. That means each manufacturer would need to run their bike through the process. Plus, they have plastic gas tanks, so they may be getting turned back at the ports because of that.
I had problems trying to register mine and get a title. The DMV computer wouldn't have anything to do with a "ShineRay' and the lady didn't like the paper the manufactures statement of origin was printed on, a supervisor had to review everything.

I almost just offered to by this Chinese sport bike http://topeka.craigslist.org/mcy/2622980121.htmlHe emailed me some pictures. The damage didn't seem that bad and it has less than a 1000 miles on it. I was thinking I could clean it up and re-sell it next spring for a little profit. Sure is cool looking but not really my style.

I just got home from looking at this http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/2622615963.html It's not in too bad of shape. Needs a few things. I even took it down the road, but did not fall in love with it. Told him I would sleep on it.

Looks more like a trials bike than a trail bike. I was gonna own a bike with that uncomfortable of a seat it would have to be a cafe

I have been researching it, and in other countries it was sold without the lights as a trials bike. I have read where they are competitive in the two shock class with just a few minor modifications. I have been wanting an old trials bike. Preferably a Honda TL 250, but they are really expensive.
