Clearing your tank from every bit of rust

IvyLeague346
Hello again guys!  I got my bike running a bout a week back give or take a day or two... come to find out that the fuel was basically contaminated with all of the unseeable rust bits from when i cleaned my tank.  I know on top of the gas tank there is a bit of a ledge dgoing into the tank  and not quite everything goes out the petcock nozzle... How can I make sure i got every last bit out?  Just keep letting some water go through?

I would add an in-line fuel filter with a paper media:  simple, inexpensive, easy to install, easy to replace.  Here are some examples available:  link.  Cheers!

what about clearing out any of the remaining residue after initially cleaning the tank?  I ask because i have cleaned the tank but didn't account for the residue which resulted in clogged up carbs
