Coil question...pls HELP!

Muscle racer
I recently bought some ignition coils for my 78 750k. When it arrived, i noticed the plug wires were in different order from my old ones. My old ones (left#1,4 right#2,3) and the new ones were (left#2,3 right#1,4) I installed it but it didn't sound right. Then I noticed the vin on the engine said 750E. Which means the previous owner switched engines.

Is that why it wouldn't run right? Do I need coils from a 750E? With the same plug order as my old one?

Pls help so I can start ridin!! Thanks in advance

No you do not need different coils. And all the engines said 750E, or 750 F. what you need to do is connect your coil wires the same as they were originally. 1 coil 1-4, and the other 2-3.
