Cold weather gear for your hands-not gloves

I picked these up today. $17.99.   Two hours riding in 55 degree F temps with no gloves and my hands stayed perfectly warm. Not the prettiest bike accessory, but they do the job

I picked them up in town at the bike shop. Eric stocks them for the scooter guys. These were out of the package so I dont have much info. The only thing on them is "ScootR". Ill check out the inside tag and see what I can find out. Or I can give you erics shop number. Its roanoke cycle sports in roanoke Virginia.

Craig Vetter invented a similar product, back in the 1970's, called, Hippo Hands.  No patent.  Funny to see them making a come-back.  Cheers!

Those look really interesting, very warm, but it looks like your hands would be a bit restrained to the handlebars.  I wonder if the simpler plastic air shield that fits over the handle grips does a similar job.  I have seen it on commuter bikes.

The ones I got are insulated. Like Thorby said, you do feel kinda trapped while wearing them but im hetting more used to it. I have alot better feel of the controls without bulky gloves on and thats a yrade off ill take. Piute, if you want a pair bud I gotcha covered. Just holler and ill pick ya up a pair.

Re: Cold weather gear for your hands-not gloves

    I've used lots before
,Like the fact that only wear my latex and Mechanic gloves and stay warm N dry, driving gloves would be o.k. I guess,
But when your spending hr's in the saddle in 40- weather your not in stop go traffic or lots of lights,Keeping your hands & feet dry N warm makes that ride lots more enjoyable.  My 25-30min country rode to work has 1 stop sign, 2 R.turns,2Left,Then I'm in drive way.
Got my chaging prob.solved (THX.Paul)So going to need ,Rear tire by the way too
