Comstars or spokes?

I can't decide between the set of comstars from my 79L and the spoked wheels from my 79K for use on the 79K, which is my main bike now. Pros/cons? What do you guys think? Even if it's just an opinion on looks.

I like the look of the spokes personally.

I believe the Comstars will allow you to go tubeless...  The Comstars are incredibly strong, especially compared to spokes, but spokes worked for many decades.  The Comstars are extremely low maintenance.  It really boils down to what trade-off's you're comfortable with, as well as aesthetics.  Cheers!

Like Sarge said,Comstars are super strong and can run tubeless tires. They are also much easier to clean than spokes. I have 1 bike with spokes and another with Comstars. It all depends on the look your are after. Cafe,chopper,bobber-go with spokes. Bobbers can look real good with Comstars,too. If you are going for a modern look than I'd use Comstars. It's all in what you're shooting for in the looks department really

Seeing as how I think I want to push my bike towards a brat racer look, I think I might go with the comstars.... the spokes do look really nice though. TOOLS, I would totally send you my spokes if I weren't trying to sell my other bike whole . But hey, if you live around new england I'd be willing to part with all of it for a big $$$ discount...

   Lot of Fags from England I heard (joke-ing)any relation(L.O.L.),Spokes are classic and every-almost-one likes them and use. Me pulling my trailer A fag/mag doesn't have to be adjusted every time you take off due to heavy unnaturaul to spoke pulls.,Not only that ,
BUT The Super Sports need that Pro. Race Look that Com-stars have.

   one good l.o.l. joke needs another ,how is your spokes doing,you should get new wht 2.50 or more a peace x how many,as said keep them respectable clean .

The spokes are a little rusty. Some of them will definitely have to be replaced for looks.

On another note, I know next to nothing about tires, being fully new to working on any sort of vehicle. When it comes to fitment, what do the numbers signify? On my 79L, the wheels are 3.50/19 and 4.50/17. However, when shopping for tires the sites seem to work with three numbers. I'm trying to find some chunky-ish tires for a brat look--- any ideas where to start looking?
