Considering painting exhaust pipes flat black on 78 cb750f

Hey pros, I'm considering spraying my exhaust pipes flat black. Has anyone done that, and how does it look on the super sport?

I'm not ready to spring for new chrome pipes, and to have them plated around NYC is pretty costly. Everything else on the bike is pretty stock.

VHT makes some of the best exhaust paint IMO. Two things you really have to do when painting pipes.

1- gotta be clean. you may even look in to having them blasted or even doing a home brew electrolysis rust removal on them. Google it. It's actually very simple, cheap and fast.

2- follow the instructions on the can. Curing the paint according to to what the can tells you will help them past much longer.
