Cx Tank Paint Help

JonathanHValencia
Hey guys, I could use some painting opinions if you got it. I sprayed my tank after getting it to bare metal with etch primer, then filler, then a few layers of color coat. After etch and filler I sanded and got it real smooth for the color coat. I have sprayed a few coats of color and I notice there’s a slight texture to it. This is my first time so my technique isn’t perfect, but I’d like some feedback on how I should proceed. I attached some photos, looks like slight orange peel. I have yet to clear coat it. What would you do?
I also have some spots I missed in the crevice on the bottom of the sides of the tank. Ran out of paint. I plan on finishing up tomorrow then clearing it the following day.

If it is real bad orange peel, wet sand it before spraying your clear.

It really doesn’t look bad. I have to look hard to notice the slight texture. If I wet sand, do I spray another base coat or go straight to clear? Will the clear reduce the look of the orange peel?

If you do not sand through the base coat, you should not need to apply another coat. The clear might cover the texture, it is hard to tell without seeing it.
