Re: DOHC FRAME

Truck
Sounds like it would be easier to just find a 900 engine
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

95% of Harley Davidsons ever made are still on the road... The other 5% made it home.

Seller is cruzinimage. MANY guys have had great results with the 836 kits he sells for the single cams. I haven't used it yet, but that's where my kit came from.

So I found a place in Dublin Va that has the 900 engine I've been looking for. H says they are complete but have bees sitting for awhile and some may be siezed. I'm thinking that if they are siezed from sitting its just the rings, and since I'm looking at a 985 big bore i think going with a cheaper siezed would be the way to go. Any ideas?

Depends on the price and how far the ride is.

If you go 985 you're probably gonna upgrade the clutch anyway, so it's that's stuck who really cares.

And even if it seized from lack of oil the trans will most likely be fine. Though lack of oil could = hurt crank.

You could always pop the oil pan off and check for signs of heat, if none, pretty much what you said: rebore and rock on!

Im no authority  around here , and know this isn't 750, but you better be putting up a build thread when you do all this!

If I do this it will be from bare frame and take along time, but there will be a thread. Besides, it will be a 750... frame.
