I am in desperate need of a headlight bucket for a 1981 Honda CM400C. It doesnt have to be specfically for that bike as long as it will work on it. The code on the bucket is hm-36-m. Condition isnt very important to me as long as there are no cracks in it, I plan on painting it. Im looking at around 20 dollars or less if anyone has one they would be willing to part with! I dont want to pull the trigger on evilbay because people on there think they have a solid gold part and are charging accordingly lol, figured I would ask here first. Thanks.

I have a spare 1981 cb750K full headlight assembly you can have for $20 plus my cost to ship it to you. The chrome ring had a deep gouge in it. I can get pics if you're interested. Not sure if it will fit, just thought I'd throw it out there.
I can provide the ears if you want them too. I know that is more than you wanted to spend, but I'm offering much more than just the bucket.
Note that I'm in Canada so shipping is going to be pricier than if I was in the States.

I appreciate the offer Sees, however I've already compared my 750 bucket to the 400 to see if it would work and the 750 is slightly larger so unfortunately it won't work. I do appreciate it though.

I have one you can have for shipping. However it does have a crack, but it can be fixed with some epoxy, or fiberglass.

The crack is not at the mount, and would be easy to fix. It came off the CM 400 A that I did some work on for a magazine artical. I will get a picture today.
