Does the bike start and run with these wires cut off?

While getting the missing speedometer, tachometer and the head lights, I am just trying to get the bike to start and run for now.

I saw  2 wires bundles on top of the handle bar were cut off.  There are 4 wires in 1 bundle, and 3 wires in another.  The 3 wires actually have 2 of them joint inside the bundle plastic jacket.

These two bundles ended up inside the headlight housing where there are tons of wires and connections inside.

Would the bike be able to start if these wires are cut off?  I think so, but not sure if any safety measure preventing it from running.

Is it true that all of these wires go to the speedometer and tachometer?

Without knowing the color of the wires, or their termination points, cannot say for sure. But you can hotwire the bike to get it to start by jumping from the + terminal on the battery to the coils. I believe it is the black/white wire on the coils you need to jump to. And then you can either kickstart it or jump across the solenoid to use the electric starter.

Thanks.  I measured the resistance between the Positive terminal of the battery and the wire going into the spark coil, and it's not open when I turn the key on.  However, I read about 500 ohms, which I think is very high, unless the path is going through stuffs before getting there.  I will look at the wire diagrams later, but do you think the wires are bad somewhere?
