Doin'December

Got lucky, after a few really, really nasty days of weather,
one of the last nice days of 2013 showed up.

Brandonville Pike, goes right by my driveway.
10 miles of twisties.

My Shadow is pretty cold blooded.  If the temp gauge is anywhere near the left side, the bike is not happy. I've already get it set up for winter.  Spring will be here soon enough.

For those that ride year 'round, have fun and be very careful.

I'm cold just looking at those pics. And anything lower than 50F and the thing looks at me and asks if I'm kidding.

Really wasn't that bad guys, almost like a Spring day.

The one with the orange cones, 2 weeks ago a trucker with an 18wheeler
was hauling a big load of lumber.  His GPS told him to go Brandonville, stupid
but that's where they send them.  He cut the hairpin too close, and got sucked
down that ravine, maybe 100 yards down the hill.  Took 2 days to get the road open.

I post over at CycleworldForums, now, over there, there's a few that actually go all year.
Some of those guys, full dressers on snow and slush highways, packing double,
30,000 miles a year, believe me, I ani't the crazy one.

Kawtippin, lives in Pa., put this up yesturday, 150 miles over the weekend.

I dunno, the helmet, it's a bug catcher, and you gotta watch looking up
at speed, the visor acts like a big air scoop, but I've had it a long time, it fits good,
and with prescription glasses only there's a good field of vision.
The black fullface i have,
just sits on a shelf.

Temp wise, it's the legs and hands that bother me first.
The next lid I get will prob be a 3/4, not a puddin' bowl like 'Electra Glide in Blue',
but something along those lines.

and ya, the Black n Red, I get the C model up and running good, I'd like to go over the whole bike,
motor and all.  Maybe this Summer.
