Dragging rear back brakes 78 cb750K.

shawn.conn
Hey, New to the forum here. I've got an issue. I recently went through my bike and replaced a lot of stuff. the reason for the replacement was sticking rear shoes. My tire started to smoke because of how hot it got. So i went through it and replaced anything that i could think of besides the drums. I got new shoes, new bearings (all three). well doesn't sound like much now, but it was a lot of work. so any way. I got the chain adjusted (i hope). I got new armature with the roller. slapped the pig together, just went to go take her around block, and the brakes are sticking just as bad as before! SUPER FRUSTRATING!!!  The rear brake is manual adjustment, so i got it to where the manual said (which is a nominal inch of play in the pedal-not quoting) it rolls good back, but as soon as you go move forward the brakes drag, like a stubborn mule. I also noticed that when i pull forward, the pedal moves forward too. I don't know what to do now. Any help or hints, whatever you've got. HELP ME GET THIS BIKE RUNNING!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! Thank you!!

Hi
Is the brake stay bracket still in place? It goes from the swing arm to the brake hud.
Simple if some one else can, why can't I

This is the bracket in place.  One of it on the swing arm.
