Engines I have successfuly started do not include the 1980 CB750 Custom.......

I have successfully started the smallest moped to the largest aircraft engines, so why can I not start this CB750 Custom engine (1980) without the battery charger if the temperature outside is below 65 degrees F?  Thanks for any advice, the bike runs/starts great when it is warm outside.  Carbs/Plugs/Charging system/Battery/Coils are all seeming to be fine.  Am I just flooding it?  It seems very prone to flooding.......

Get a big crank sealed battery (any AGM type)...WIll help A LOT.

Another problem on these is the vacuum-operated petcock that exists after the manual one.  Needs vaccuum to work, and it doesn't start to open fully until it starts to pop nicely (need long cranking to get to this point).  I removed mine, and rely on the mechanical petcock solely....works MUCH better.
