There was 1 more year of the F, 75. The F is 75/76. F2 is 77. F3 is 78, but only in the US. The rest of the world F2 was 77/78, no F3.

So, F and F1 are synonymous, or is there really no F1? Just F,F2 and F3?

Technically no f1, just F, F2, F3. But many refer to 76 as the F1 to differentiate. Kinda like the 69 being called the K0.
