Flexible exhaust tubing

So, as it says my topic is flexible exhaust tubing.
The idea is to get rid of the massive can under the seat of my fz6, in favor of 2 actually mufflers. Now, I may just use an elbow and straight tubing, but I'd like to know if anyone has used flexible tubing such as Walker flex pipes. I don't see why I couldn't, but maybe someone here has used it and not had the best luck, or had good luck.

I've used it on an old pickup once. It leaked immediately. Not horrible, but you could hear it ticking.I was broke, and it was good enough to pass State Inspection.

However, I also had an old International tractor that had about a 3' long piece of it with a very slight bend in it. Was on there when I got it. Worked flawlessly for the 12 years or so that I owned it. I actually believe the incredible amount of rust on it may have been what was sealing it.

Harley used it on their bikes years ago, large truck manufactures still use it without any problems. The main thing is to use the right clamps with it, you want to use the band clamps that form around it, not the U shaped muffler clamps.

Well heat won't be a problem then. Maybe I'll get it all positioned if/when I do it and then slather on some high temp epoxy. I figure band clamps would be best. Not a big fan of the U clamps.

Honestly, if the length and diameter is good, any pipe should work. I remember asking this on a different forum and they seem to think that exhaust tubing wouldn't hold up to exhaust. Didn't make sense to me since flexible tubing is used in many areas. Might have to save some coin and get some cheapo mufflers and try it.
