LED Bike Headlights can be had with an output from 100 Lumens, all the way up to 1,800 Lumens, while drawing very little amperage (an automobile headlight is rated at 700 Lumens...). Prices vary, but the cost does increase with Lumen output.
I picked up a pair of 100 Lumen LED's off of e-Bay, for around $30 delivered:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=Bike+LED+HeadlightMost run off of an 8.2 Volt Battery Pack, so to operate two, wire them in series, which will give them around 7 Volts each -- perfectly safe, and near full brightness, if not full brightness. A fellow on the Kawasaki Voyager forum wired two 900 Lumen LED's in series, and he is very happy with them, having run them for hours at a time, without burning them out.
I used a flat piece of aluminum stock, purchased from Menards, cut to a 5" length. I drilled holes for the LED's to attach to one end of the bar, then I used C-clamps for MC's, to attach them to the engine guard bars on either side; to attach the aluminum bars to the C-clamps, I had to drill a large hole, for a bolt. I plan on painting the LED housings, and the aluminum bars, gloss black, to help them blend in with the lower part of my Voyager bike; the C-clamps are chrome, and look fine as they are.
If I were keeping my Honda, I would add a pair of the 100 Lumen LED's to it, as well, but I plan on selling it soon, so no need to spend more money on it.
If you want additional lights for conspicuity, then the 100 Lumen units will suffice. If you want them as fog lights, then I would recommend 500 Lumens, or higher, depending on how much you can afford.
Motorcycle-specific LED's can be had, but they charge upwards of $400 for a pair!
Bike LED Headlights are every bit as effective, but they cost a fraction of the cost of the MC-specific products, and you get a wider variety of options to choose from. Cheers!
