Front Wheel Chock

I've just finished a build bench, and I picked up this chock from Harbor Freight:

However, it doesn't hold the bike upright. I've tried the adjustments, and still nothing. I want to get one that I can put the front wheel in, and it holds the bike straight. Without needing straps etc.

Any ideas? Or should I just use some rope to tie down the bike to the stand and use this chock?

Bonus points if I can pick up something tonight from somewhere so I can officially be done with this thing today and start ripping into the bike!

That chock is not going to hold any bike upright. It's just designed to keep the bike from moving on a trailer, and requires tying the bike down. Do a search for my build table. I think there is a thread on it, or you can see it in Toolbabes Bobber build.

Looking at that one, can that hold the bike up? Or is it just to position it, and the straps are to hold it up center?

You need the straps to hold the bike up, and keep it from moving while working on it. You could make the wheel chock larger to hold the bike upright, but you will still need straps.
