Fuel line connections

icerigger
Hi guys,
Just in the process of putting my bike back together and I'm a little confused about the fuel line connections. The FSM shows a tee connector between carbs 1 & 2 and another between 2 & 3 with the fuel hose connected to the 2-3 tee. Can't find anywhere to tell me what's connected to the 1-2 tee.

When I took the bike apart, the hose connected to 2-3 was just lying in top of the cam cover and the fuel input was connected to the 1-2 tee.

Can anyone tell me where the fuel hose is supposed to go and WTF is connected to the other tee?

Thanks,
bob

Got pictures? Bike model(C, F, K, autotragic, etc)/year?

There is a vent that also goes between the various bowls; this is so the bowls see atmospheric pressure - without it, it could create a pressure bubble and starve your bowls of fuel. Remember, to add something (fuel)  you must remove something (air). So it's gotta have a T in there for the venting.

Get us some pictures and we'll look at it.
Turbos, Hondas, 4-bangers, what could go wrong?

Fuel goes in between 1-2 on the DOHC CV carbs.

The "T" between 2-3 just needs to vent to air unless you're using the auto-petcock.  You can stick a hose on it and run it out of the way (you could just leave it without a hose on it, but I'd be worried about stuff dropping into my carbs).

There is also a nipple close to the engine around carb 1 (location is from memory) that needs to be capped unless you're using the auto-petcock.

Many people took the auto-petcock off their bikes, so you might not have it (I've taken mine off and it runs much better, but I suspect mine was in poor shape and failing).

OK, thanks. Sounds like it was right as is.

BTW, nobody seems to have anything good to say about the auto petcocks. Even the Rebel community advises replacing the autos with a first gen petcock.
