Fuse order on 76 CB750F also LED

mooknee
Hi all,

First post. Just got me new (to me) bike about 3 weeks ago and have been tinkering with it since then. The fuse box has been adjusted a bit. And I am not confident in the fuses I have on there.

Before I go and by fuses, does anyone happen to know what order (from top to bottom) the fuses are in and how big the fuses are?

Also, for this old of a bike, can I just splice into the brake light a new LED light system or would I have to by some kind of converter?

I am a total electric NOOB.

Thanks all!

Top one should be 15 amps. then 7 and 5 I think. If you have the fuse cover, it shows the order. At least my 78 does.
You can plug in an led taillight with no issues.
If you do signal lights though, you either need a ballast(waste of power) or an electronic flasher for about $10.

Thanks for replying! What happens if you have a larger amp fuse in?

For the brake lights, I'd like to keep the original cover, but just replace the bulb with LED. I can't find a custom kit for it, do you happen to know of any places online that might have some made? (again, with electronics I'm new.) If it is somewhat easy, I might be able to put stuff together, but I need to see it done.

Well you can get led lights from http://www.superbrightleds.com/
The lights you get there should allow you to use the stock lense.

If you have a larger amp fuse in, it will not blow when it needs to. This can cause electrical system damage possibly or wiring damage. It depends on how much higher rated the fuse is.

I agree with Re-Run. If you do go larger it is standard you only go up one size. If your grounds are good and wiring is correct your stock setting fuses will last for a long time.
