Gas Tanks

I've got a 78 but i want to put a 73 style tank on mine. Has anyone done this? Do they bolt on the same?

Easy replacement however the seats do not quite match. If I remember correctly, there will be a small gap between the tank and seat.

So can i put a seat from a 73 on my 78 along with the tank and everything match up? i love the narrow top of the older 70's but i got a great deal on a 78.

You can BUT the 78 seat hinges on the opposite side the 73 does, so you will have to move the hinge mounts on the frame.

ok cool. I've also been wondering what the difference between the super sports and the k1's and k8 ect.
