Generator rotor removal

jimg44
100_1670.JPG  Has anyone come across  one with a different removal bolt size greater than 18 - 1.5 ?  I have read several posts stating that is the size of thread on the removal tool from Honda or to use the axle bolt.  The axel bolt slides in and doesn't even touch the threads in the rotor. Inside diameter of treads in the rotor hub  is 18.58mm.

That's for the DOHC engines. The SOHC uses a different size tool. Any Honda dealer should have it, for around $8.00

Exhaust gaskets usually run $7.00 - 10.00 a set. You need to find a new dealer.

-07933-3000000 is the part number for the puller dynamo.  My friendly dealer had one for a mere $37.55 after tax.  It looks like you make one with a 20mm bolt.  the dimensions of the tool are as follows.  threaded outside dimension 19.87mm.  necked down outside  18.05mm by 9mm long.  While the end of the tool looks like it is made to be hit I found that snugging the tool in by hand and two or three light to taps with a 16 oz brass hammer to the handle clockwise the generator popped right off.

I bought an aftermarket (K&L I believe) from my local dealer, for $8.00. Don't hit the lever to tighten it!!!! You could strip the threads. Just snug it up, and tap the end of the tool. Also oil the threads when using.

TOOLS that may be the truest statement ever!  Not happy with them at all.  Wont call me back about tires either.
