Getting rid of the run/kill switch

BlincoJ
I want to get rid of the run/kill switches that are stock on my '81 Honda cb750c. I found a switch on revivalcycle that is a simple two button (my thought process is use one to crank and the other to kill). Any though process on the other wires and switches. Basically I'd like to get rid of the big mess that has run, off, and start button and just go to two simple buttons if possible. If anything I'd like to keep the idea for those two buttons and put another run/off switch somewhere else on the bike that is inconspicuous. Any ideas?

Here is a simplified wiring diagram that should help with this.

Idk if this exactly answers what I'm asking. I know about the wiring diagram. I'm just trying to figure out if I can bypass that run/off switch or get something else. Also what's the best repair manual to get for the 81 cb750c? I saw a clymer but I don't think it is exactly for my model.

The best service manual is the Honda Factory Service Manual which you can download for free from our manuals thread on the home page here. You can also find the wiring diagram for your bike there. This will tell you which wires are for the on/off switch. To use a different switch, you need one that is closed and opens when it it depressed to kill the engine. Not many aftermarket push-button switches I would trust for this, so try to have a wire connection that you can easily reach in case the switch fails, so you can hot wire it to get home.
