Going Retro

Seems like Honda has jumped on board the retro look.  Anyone seen the 2014 CB1100 GIO?  Looks an awful lot like a bike I currently own.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpEI-zL6gW8
If you can't open this web site (brief walk around) I can post a picture.

Very interesting mix of SOHC and DOHC.

The engine and tank are obviously DOHC inspired. The fuel door looks kinda wimpy. I love the fuel door on my '80 F.

The double-strut front fender, slab seat and "Four" emblem scream SOHC,though. So does the tail light and rear mud guard.

It's like a best-of mash up. Cool.

Did ya'll notice how the spokes lace in to the rims??? Oh man, that is sweet!

I kinda liked the white one in the background a little better. Looked a bit lower and bobberish.
It's only illegal if you get caught.

If at first you don't succeed, use more lighter fluid

I totally missed that. It is kinda cool looking. Almost kinda sport-bobberish? Very cool. Good eye, truck.

This CB1100 Gio is beautiful. Triumph has been hot on the retro scene, and I have been envious Honda hasn't followed suit with a CB750. But this is sweet. In this walk-around, the CB1100 EX is nice, but the straight CB1100 looks more like the Super Sport: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkFAnautR1c.

Have not seen any of these on the street, though.

Honda finally gets the message.
Build practical motorcycles that can be used for every day commutes.
Not everyone wants a monster sport bike that is uncomfortable to ride.
We do not want our friends ass way up in the air when we give them a ride drive down the road.

Just a comfortable seat for two persons.
A center stand so we do not have to buy motorcycle jacks and lifts.
A tool kit that does not require tools to get it off of the motorcycle.
An exhaust system that look good and sounds good .
No $expensive overpriced garbage can exhausts.

Just a good simple, solid, motorcycle that will last.

Get the transformer toy car kids out of the motorcycle design dept.,.
Put the plastic away. No cheap aluminum frames.
I really liked the chopper that they offered. It sold very well.
