Got my J&P Cycles catalog today...

MarkPBG
So now I don't need to worry if my bike is too fast. I can put a skin pack chrome cover on every part of the bike, adding 100 pounds and making the bike much less powerful so it's easier to handle. LOL
There's a few cool things in it, but MY GOD, the chrome "dress up" market is CRAZY!

There's actually VERY little in there for the CB's. It has a lot of the other stuff I'm looking for though…custom marker lights, gauges, etc. You know, the misc. stuff.

I ride with a back pack. It's amazing what you can fit in there.Toolkit, rags, food, water, map, christmas gifts.Every bit of my Christmas shopping this year has came home on the Honda.I'm vain like that.I'd rather wear my saddle bags than my bike look like rolling luggage. No offense to you more practically minded bikers that actually have functional items installed on your form of transportation.LOL

Oh yeah, gotta have a can of Grizzly, too.Chicks dig it

I like the backpacks too, but on a ride that's over 8 hours long between stops, it's just too much to have on your back that long, plus the higher center of gravity wears you out on the road quicker. Much prefer a backpack that I can strap to the seat behind me, plus a couple of throw over saddle bags IF I need even more room.

I have had alot of stuff in mine.I brought home a gallon of milk and a few canned items one night and never really noticed it.Of course, with the laid over position on my "cafe" its not like its trying to pull me backwards, too. When it drops into the teens at night its handy to move it around front for a wind breakmakes a big difference.I may look like a kangaroo with a full pouch, but at least im still riding!Works for me!

There is nothing cooler then walking in some place with leather saddle bags slung over your shoulder. Also my rally pack can be worn as a backpack.

Chrome-itus is a terminal disease, very common among Gold Winger's, as well as HD'ers.

My buddy had decked out his '81 Wing with loads of chrome, then the front wheel fender lost two bolts which had loosened with time, and the fender caught on the front tire at around 20 MPH, and down they went, chrome and all.  A couple of broken ribs, and many a bruise later, and he is spending the Winter trying to decide whether to restore his bike, or peel off the chrome bits, and try to recover some of his investment.  A few more dollars spent on PM's might have saved him, and the majority of his chrome...

No matter what, you have to do the PM work (and do it properly!), unless you plan on putting your bike under glass, in a museum.  Cheers!

I Like chrome. I like flat black too. I'm not a hater either way,,, there is a place for both. But when people take it too far... MAN that is sad... It the Jeep World. there is a lot of Anti-chrome people out there. And there is aloso the Chrome dress up kits for them,, and I can honestly say that it is fucking retarded..
But Chrome on say, 66 Chevelle, well that tickles me pink.
