Great Idea to help out …Keep the forum going!

MarkPBG
I saw on another forum where one of the people running it reminded everyone that the site costs money to maintain. Everyone benefits from having a place to go and find and trade parts, gather knowledge, and meet people near them to ride with. One user suggested adding your favorite forums to your Christmas list. You give a tip to the mailman, the garbage man, the barber, etc….for the services they offer through the year. Why not add your favorite forums to the list? I am starting that tradition this year for myself. I learn more on forums than I do reading the relevant magazines like cafe racer or classic bike!

What do you say forum owners? You got a PayPal link to support the site?
(keep in mind, even if you found a free site host, you still put your valuable TIME into maintaining it!)

The nabble hosting might have something like that. I haven't seen it though.

There's commercials? I've had 38 years practicing ignoring commercials (since I was old enough to watch TV or listen to the radio). I don't even see them anymore. LOL

Thanks for the kind words. It's Re-Run's board, the rest of us are guests, and a couple of police officers to keep things running smoothly.  I'd be willing to throw a few dollars to help with costs, if there are any.  Re-Run, can you check on that and let us know if you want/would like the users to contribute on a voluntary basis?

By the way, if you don't like ads and you're running Firefox, I recommend Ad Blocker Plus. The only time I see ads on this forum are when I use my smartphone to check in.
