Grip replacement

alehman
Hi all,

I've decided I want to go for the bar-end mirrors that insert into the ends of the bars rather than clip on. However, the stock grips are closed on the end, so it looks like I'll have to get different grips. How do I take off my current ones? It looks like there's a plastic tube underneath over which it fits, but I'm not sure how to get the darn thing off.

Sometimes if, you work it open, and squirt some WD-40 under them, they will work off, however the easiest way is to cut them off with a utility knife. Or you could just cut the ends off the grips, you have.

Most grips are closed on the ends. I just cut my ends off, like Tools said. If you run a skinny screwdriver under the grip then squirt PB Blaster in there ( with the straw helps) it'll just about fall off.
