I'm just one state over, but back when you wrote the first message, my bike was down with a broken cam chain. The other "problem" is me traveling for a living. It makes it difficult to commit to events and meetings when I could be called to go to a customer site at a moment's notice.
I also didn't trust my bike to take on a long distance ride, since I hadn't had it that long and didn't tear into it to assess the internals. It was tricky enough just getting the bike home when it broke: I had to leave it in a parking lot overnight before I could find a guy with a trailer to get it home.
