Help ID my 750!

Hi guys,
Just bought a out of love 750 and have managed to get it going by
looking through you`re answers to previous forums. This is a question
I need answered to get this bad boy back to its former glory.

1981, 2 front disc brakes, and disc at the rear.

Engine number is RC 01E 3100 958.
Frame number is 04 101 3G38

Any help would be most appreciated.

 Google Images is a wonderful tool to help ID unkown bikes.
Back in 81 our CB750's came in 3 models, a C, K, and an F.
Unless someone did some serious modifications to it, The fact you said rear disc tells me it's an F

Thanks for getting back to me. After looking at the photos, I think its a C because of the tank, and the handle bars. A bit confusing though, 2 pipes, one on either side and the disc at the rear. Maybe its a bit of a mix match I`ll upload some pics, this might help before I start getting wrong parts.

Yes I think you have a mixture.
Problem is, what you have listed as a frame numer is incomplete for an '81. For example, mine is a '81 C and reads (JH2 is only on the neck tag) but the rest RC0110BM12**** is also stamped on the neck as well.
I think prior to '81 they only had 13 digits instead of the later 17 digit code.
if your reads "RC" ahead of the "04" I think it is safe to say it's an F but the rest doesn't makes sence...

 Rear peg mount, rear disc brake and exhaust looks like an F while the tank, bars and rear fender give it a C appearance. Easy bolt-ons to an original F though no matter what year of DOHC

Thanks again. I`m going to go with the F, as you say its more probable to be the frame and vin numbers that are correct. Tank is going to stay but back mudguard is now out. Had a starting issue, which was power throughout bike, but a starter solenoid that just clicked. got one on ebay and while waiting jumped starter motor that kicked in perfectly.
After installing s solenoid with a lot of choke play and some yells of encouragement she kicked into life. Smoky as hell, and crazy loud in the shed, but  an awesome day!
In the process of changing some of the wiring to have the ignition key somewhere near the battery.
Small tacho and speedo and get a small hole in fuel tank sorted.......
That will be it for the moment, unless Santa sends me more parts!

Haha, nice spotting mate, thats my first love. 2010 C5. I`ve changed the yoke to one from hitchcocks, and changed a few other things around looking to make it a little more unique and cafe racerish without taking to much away from the Enfield classic style. its pretty much as I want it, but as you know theres always something to tweek!

The rear disc is definitely an F model thing. As far as the handle bars go my 81 Supersport came with the same ones. It looks like they swapped out the rear wheel is all. If those shocks are stock you can measure them. The F model has 14.25" rear shocks and the C model came with 13". Does this jive with everyone else?
