Help wiring a dyna ign to aftermarket coils please- completely lost at this point

The dyna has three wires.Red,blue and yellow. I understand the blue lead pulses the 1-4 coil,and the yellow does the 2-3. Red lead is to switched 12v. But I'm having a brain fart on the coils. + on the coils goes to the same switched 12v and the blue and yellow leads pulse the coils via the - terminal? Am I right or wrong? I'm spoiled to GM HEI ignition with coil and cap. Been a looong time since I've wired a cannister style coil

If I remember correctly, the leads from the dyna go to the neg side of the coils. Just like they would if it had points.

OK. My wires are different from what I found online. My dyna has red, black and white. Now I'm lost...

Ok. So, I have been trying to find out the correct wiring for the dyna S system. I under stand it just replaces the point, but now i am reading about 3 and 5 ohm coils. Resistor wires,resistor plug caps.... what the $)(@*!) ?!?!?

What do I need to do here? I'm completely befuddled here,but I want to learn this stuff. Help please! Thanks

3 ohm coils, and resistor caps. However it will work with 5 ohm coils, and resistor caps.

Hmmm. I like how you say that,as if I had a CLUE what you said.LOL. Any idea on how to figure out what resistance my coils are?They aren't marked. And my wires are solid,so I'm guessing 0 ohms there.
