Honda 750 parts?

Craig B
I am considering purchasing a Honda 750, it runs but needs a little work and eventually an overhaul. I intend for this to be a project bike, I like working on things and I'd like to take the winter and spiff it up a bit. Where would I buy parts for this bike, other than the Honda dealership? Are there any online resources available? Specifically I will be needing 4 carb rebuild/gasket kits right away?

Thanks

Craig B

I'd try ebay for both new and used parts, if you need genuine parts try David Silver in UK (they'll post anywhere), good luck with the rebuid AlanB

For carb rebuild kits you should try to find actual Mikuni kits first. Check with a Honda dealer, you need to go in not call. If you go in they will actually check their stock, over the phone they may not even check they will put you on hold, then come back and say they don't have it. Or google Mikuni on line. There are aftermarket kits (Keyster) is what I got, buy they are not as good as Mikunis. I have found Old Bike Barn has aftermarket parts, Honda Nuts is good for NOS OEM and Classic Motorcycle Supply out of the Netherlands is great for OEM parts. Also David Silver Spares in England has OEM NOS Honda parts, they are fast and very good people to order from. I have gotten orders in four days from them! Try your local dealer first. Good luck

OK I have gotten parts from a number of places. While I WAS on the sohc4.net forum(left cause of forum politics), they have the best parts faq anywhere as well as a place where they discuss good sellers and bad.
I WILL NEVER buy from old bike barn. There are over 2000 members and 90% of them have had extremely bad service with obb.
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=7235.0

I am not sure this url will show up for non-members.

The rest seem to be fine. I have had VERY good luck with partsnmore.com

Not trying to bad mouth obb but just warning people. If obb can get their service in line, then they would be a good source but they REALLY need to work on their communication with customers and honor orders properly. Just my 2 pennies.
I wont break arms if someone goes there.

ordered from them too. Not the best communication always but I always got my stuff and that is what really counts.
