well this is what i did on my ride. i took off the rear shock and spring assembly by removing whole assembly from the bike then removing both shim locks this alows access to the spring i then chopped off about an inch and a 1/2 or two loops
reassembled and did the same for the other side. now for up front. make sure the bike is on center stand ,if you have one, i didnt, jack stands work just make sure the front is off the ground. unscrew the shock spring access nuts on the top of each fork ...be carefull they can shoot out or not come out at all if thats the case tap it with a small mallet.then it should come out take a hack saw i used a skill saw with a metal cutting blade and took off about 2 inches up front dropped the springs back in tightened top lock nuts to spec and thats all she wrote ... now i dont knee slide on my cafe or push her to the limit so i dont recomend you to if you try this remember safety 1st good luck
