How do you reinstall breather box

My 79 cb750 didn't come with a breather box.  I got one put my grommets on and clamps at the ready.  How in the hell does this thing go back in?  Take carbs off? Take battery out?  Take engine out?

Slide the rubber boots as far forward as you can, onto the carbys to give you more room, then slide them back into place, once you have the airbox in position.

Wonder if i remove boots from carbs to head, slide carbs towards head, slide airbox in and then reinstall.

   THere a pain in the azzzz,lining up all those boots at same time,
   having anpther person hold it in place while you push N shove things around is easyest,1st time by myself I used bungee cord to hold in place while messing with got it in ,2nd time had help N lubed the boots,loosened on carb side so they could push N move a bit on there own (its straight so don't matter much like other boots(head).It is not easy so grab a couple cold ones N a friend (best make it a 12pk.).

heading to vail tomorrow so I will gear myself up for it.  I have a lot of parts showing up by the time I get back.   triple's, headlight, taillight, levers, tires, so maybe a case of beer should cover the whole day! oh and some college football in the background GO GAMECOCKS!
