How to remove the engine! 1975 cb 750

My engine is fully disconnected, I just have to remove it. Is this possible without any heavy machinery or hoist?

Yes it is. Remove any extra weight you can such as carbs and the starter. Lay some foam or something on the ground and lay the bike over on its side. Take off the wheels then and pull the forks out of the tree and remove the swing arm.
Then you can lift the frame off the engine. If you think your back can take it, you might be able to heave it out of the frame but beware, the engine weighs around 200 pounds.

As for removing all those parts, it allows you to clean and inspect them.

I am at this stage now and was planning on removing the front and rear wheels along with forks and swing arm while up on the stand. Then, laying the bike down to remove the engine as suggested. What benefit is there to removing front and back end while on its side?

Thanks!

Well it is more extra work of course pulling everything off but then, you can repaint the frame! It works very well though.

Sorry, I didn't ask the question right... is it easier to remove the front and rear sections (wheels, forks, swing arm, etc.) while the bike is 1. Hoisted on the stand (like the picture) or, 2. With the bike laid on it's side??

Hoisted on the stand. I myself do not remove the swing arm though.

I pulled it out with two jackstands under the rear swingarm. I didn't touch the forks or rear end in any way. I stradled the bike and with a neighbor's help slid it right out the side. Took about 45 seconds.

That works good if you got 2 people but if doing it solo, not so much.  You can do it but a lot depends on your back as the engine weighs about 180 pounds. So if doing it solo, laying it over may work best.
If you have the tools, you might make and engine hoist and fashion a couple brackets to attach to the engine to move it out.
