I think I just picked up the younger twin to that one. It's a '77 GL1000:
She runs pretty good. About 35k miles on it. Hasn't been sitting a long time. Was registered and ridden. Has the original owners manual and tool kit.
First impressions: This is a BIG motorcycle but it handles and rides like it's half it's size. Very smooth, all the way up to the redline. Accelerates like a rocket! No wonder they tried to bill this as a superbike and not a tourer, a real performer. The center stand is brilliant, takes less effort to put it on the stand than a 550 does.
The original owner was meticulous about maintenance (I got it from the 2nd owner, who bought it in 2009). Check out the way he labelled the clutch handle with the tire pressures!
