I made an auxiliary gas tank to test run bikes.

I made up this auxiliary to test run bikes, and sync carbs. Before I would try to set the tank on a saw horse, but it would be in the way. I made this out of 9 inches of 3 inch PVC pipe, a cap, and a threaded cap. I also used a 1/4 inch pipe thread to hose fitting, and a on/off valve off a lawn mower. I drilled a 7/16 hole in the solid cap, and taped it to 1/4 inch pipe, and screwed the hose fitting in. I glued both caps onto the pipe with silicone gasket sealer. I was afraid that gas would eat through the pipe cement. Then drilled some holes in the threaded cap, for my hanger, and to vent with.

The bike on the lift is my $200.00 81 750 LTD with 8,520 miles on it. I hope to have it on the road real soon. However I cant get the break lever on the left to work.

The one on the left? Let me guess, you pull it and the bike just sits there no matter how much you rev it? Yeah,it's working right

Very cool set up. To test my engine I took the tank off my snow blower and bungi-ed it on the frame, worked great but I like yours better.
