I messed up really bad installing steering head bearings

mrunclegibbons
So last night I started doing the prepping for replacing the steering head bearing on my 1978 CB750K and I get everything off. I finally get the old races out of the column and call it a night and this morning I take the new tapered races out of the freezer and I'm putting the bottom one in and I get it fully seated and the realize that I put it in upside down. So instead of tapering outwards it's tapered inwards and there's no lip for me to punch it out. I feel like a complete idiot for not paying attention when I put this thing in there. Any ideas on how to get it out??

Would a large socket that will just fit through the neck with an extension catch in the race? If so, you could drive it out with that. BTW these races are not that tight of fit that you need to freeze them to install them.

Thanks for the idea TOOLS. I'm gonna search around the shop for a socket that might work. So far I've only found either too big or too small. Also thanks for the knowledge. I was shocked it went in so easily, but god i'm kicking myself for doing it backwards!
