Ideas need for exhaust support

milenine
I would like to cut off my rear triangle on a 77 cb750 and mount my passenger pegs elsewhere. I think I can work out another place for the pegs, but my exhaust is also supported by the triangle. Short of hacking my pipes shorter, is there another creative way to support the pipes? I could put a hanger lower on the frame, but it would be on the south side of the big clamp that holds the muffler portion on... rickety.

Metal straps with holes in it work pretty well. The stock exhaust leave little to mount to though.

I have seen long brackets going up to the frame behind the shock mount.

if youre guna leave stock pipes and passenger pegs, whats the reason for cutting them off?im not telling you not to do it.its youre bike, but i just dont see the point...why cut off a factory mount (that looks good on a stock bike) just to ad some hacked up looking bracket?
