Installing new tachometer

So I got my bike with a new Drag spedo (2.4" mini), and I'm trying to install a matching tachometer (http://www.dragspecialties.com/products/?productId=125566&partNumber=22110057), but I seem to be missing a part for it to connect to the tachometer cable. Do I need an adaptor or was the part supposed to have come with the tachometer?

That tach in the link is not for cable driven applications. It works off an electrical signal.
