Is someone's birthday coming up?

We did some online auction-ing last weekend, and we picked up a truckload of neon signs from a BIG hardware store that went out of business.

I wonder if one of our regular contributors would like this in the garage:

It'd be a bear to ship (these signs are soooo fragile), and the transformer weighs something like 15-18 lbs, but it IS pretty cool.

We are planning on putting it on one of our online auctions. However, if you're interested, let me know via PM, and we'll discuss price and shipping. We're talking 2 boxes, one 5' by 3' by 1' and maybe 5 pounds, the other is 1' by 1' by 1' and maybe 20 pounds. Shipping from central Ohio to Kansas City via Fed Ex ground would be about $50 just for the shipping. Boxes, packaging, the goods themselves, it all adds up.

I'm thinking MC parts would be a better birthday present.

Update on the TOOLS sign.

It went to the building manager of a Hilton hotel here, who also has a flea market/antique shop. It will go on their wall. They were extremely happy with the sign.
