Just wanted to hi to everyone. I just found a red K0 CB750, built in 4/70. It's very original, pretty much unchanged. It sat in a office for most of its life, so it has less than 12K miles. The guy I bought it from has owned it since 1970. I'm in the process of cleaning the carbs (lots of gunk....), changing the oil, and installing a battery. And of course, polishing it up. According the original owner it hasn't been run since since 94. Eventually I will need to repaint it as there is some paint fading, and what looks like a drip stain from brake fluid or something.
The original owner registered the bike from Non-Op status back in 94. Not thinking he had a new plate issued then. Since then the bike has been on Non-Op status. Fortunately he kept the original blue/yellow plate. I'm going to try to get the old plate back on the bike.
Anybody have any experience of registering a bike using an old plate?
I look forward to the talking to the experts, and maybe meeting up with folks in So Cal.
