Kreem Tank Liner Question

alehman
Hey,

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Kreem etching and lining products. I etched and lined my tank with Kreem, and it seems like there's a bit of rust forming in the (still wet) liner. I think it's because I might not have gotten all the water out and it formed bubbles in the liner. I'm wondering if the liner will contain that rust and I'm good to go or if I should dissolve everything with acetone and get another kit. Any input as to why it rusted and what I ought to do?

You need to follow the instructions precisely but sounds like you already have the problem figured out.  I've done several tanks with good results.  Been awhile but I believe it said to rinse the tank and dry completely after the etch.  I'd guess the rust will get sealed but moisture, ect will still be in there.  If the project is important, I'd start over and call it a 30 dollar mistake.  If it comes out the same again at least you'd know you did the best effort.
