Mine wobbles a little bit too. But mine is the older setup with the retaining plate,, not bolt. Don't know if it'll hurt anything or not, but you could try adding a washer if tpu want it good and solid?

They all wobble. Don't worry about it. I think it is to help the chain track straight.

Shane Gaghan
posted to me on f.b.Hey mate, they do have a bit of run out and that sounds quite normal. If i dought then remove the small retainer bolt and make sure the nut doesnt move with your hand. Good luck buddy, Happy Easter!!about an hour ago ...Shane Gaghan scratch that, that one doesnt have the nut. The retainer bolt/nut should be easily removed this then gives you access to inspect the sprocket area for any damage but the run out/wobble is fairly normal.

New #630 sprockets or new #530 sprockets DO NOT WOBBLE at all.

If you want a brand new #630 front sprocket I have one for sale, but I think you should put a #530
chain and sprockets on there before a chain goes through your engine case.

Just a regular #530 chain . Does not need O rings.

I bought a brand new front sprocket for my CB750K  (#630)
it fit perfect with NO wobble.

I have since changed to #530 chain and sprockets.

My chain and rear gear are like new sure some wear, that Lil wobbly gear shows some wear but if it's suppose to wobble well heck it's going to ,
Think I'm going to wait a couple months and keep track of it ,going to pull and take picture's and measure up with the Mico each month or 5-6 hundred miles,I enjoy testing and learning this way.
Once running and legal it's 30 miles to work each day country hilly road nice.
TANK Lucky...will look into the gear though ,So 530 is stronger N lighter ?

At the moment I have 10 CB 750 engines 5 Matics, 3 5 speed SOHC, and 2 DOHC. I also have a CB 350 four engine, A TLR 200, and my buddies CB 100 engine in the shop, and they all have the same type of sprocket mounting arrangement. And they all have some play in them from side to side. It's the way they were designed. I'm sure that all 13 engines I have in my possession could not be worn out.

I agree.
I was talking about wobble on the shaft, not side to side play. Clarification.

See what I mean?
