Lift handle for 1981 CB750F

ccRider246
I am in search of the handle that mounts below the pillion seat on the left side of a 1981 CB 750F. I have checked the Clymer's and owners manual but I can't find the proper name for the part. It's the handle that you lift up on to rock the bike back on the center stand. Does anyone know what this part is officially called and where I might find one?

Thanks
Chris

I think you mean the grab rails. There is a left and a right one. I just got a pair in ebay.

Thanks for the reply and info. That makes sense - grab rail. I've been calling them by the wrong name (which doesn't help). I had a Honda mechanic tell me that they grab rail was "U" shaped and for the K or C models. The F requires a right and left, like you said, but he didn't know what those were called. I will check Ebay and other websites, now that I know the name. Since you have the same bike let me ask you a question. Do you have problems with the short shift lever? I have size 12's and have a hard time getting my toe under the shifter - even after adjusting it as high as is practical. I am looking for a slightly longer one.

Chris, the shifter is a problem even for me and I have 10 1/2s. It's too short and because the attachment point is so much lower than the foot peg, the arc the shifter travels is very uncomfortable. The answer is a toe-heel shifter. Sooner or later I will go to work on that.
Here is a picture of the grab rail:

I was thinking about making a heel/toe shifter, also, but I am not sure how well that will work. It appears as though it will have to come down and under the foot peg. I think I am going to try to make a longer shift lever as a first try. I will make time in about a month or so to work on that project. I will post results when complete.
I found some grab bars with only minor surface rust from a seller in California. I will order them tonight. Thanks for the info.
