Looking for help with CB750 DOHC (1982) carb restoration in Birmingham

CB750SC UK
Hi all..
I have a 1982 CB750SC Nighthawk import which I have owned for nearly 10 years. In that time it has done only about 500 miles due to rough running issues once warm. I sent the carbs and tank off to a carb rebuild expert, but for some reason after 4 years they still have not been done. In the mean time I bought a set from the states because they looked like a solution at the right price. Having now had my Virago stolen I have turned to the task of getting the Honda running. It may be too large for me now long term, I am 5ft 5in, but it needs to be got running to find this out and to sell if necessary.
Having pot the carbs on and found they leak like a sieve I realize they were maybe not the bargain they looked. I could do with some help to establish if they are serviceable and any useful pointers as to how to proceed or what to get to replace. Could be some paid work out of it if they are serviceable.
Of course, if someone has a set of suitable carbs in good order then we could short circuit the problem and I could purchase those.
I am in Birmingham UK
All the best, Neil

Odd, I just ran across a guy the other day that had sent his carbs off for repair. Wonder if he will ever get his back? Funny thing is, you need to have the bike when rebuilding carbs, so you can sync and tun them to the engine they are going to be run on. Anyway, leaking carbs are not a real big problem. First, where are they leaking from? Is it the fuel line, or the overflow tubes in the bottom of the float bowels? Once we know where they are leaking we will be able to tell you how to repair them. Also there is a really good step by step write up on here about rebuilding the DOHC carbs.
